The Ray Perkins' era finished 13 games into the 1990 season as the team slumped from a 4-2 start into a six-game losing streak. There were some good moments but it was simply another false dawn for Buc fans athough in typical Tampa fashion, Perkins was fired after he ended the losing streak. He had always said he would be judged on his performances - he was and he was out.
