Two-year starter with the Bucs in 1985 and 1986 who went on to win Super Bowl honours and NFL MVP with San Francisco. Joined the Bucs following the demise of the USFL in the summer of 1985 and won his first start with the Bucs against the Lions in 1985. Was primarily a running and scrambling QB during his Tampa Bay days. Was traded to the 49ers by Ray Perkins prior to the 1987 draft when the Bucs took Vinny Testaverde and wound up being selected to the NFL Hall of Fame.
