Two-year starter for the Bucs at guard having been obtained in a trade of offensive linemen with Pittsburgh for former first round pick Ray Snell. Came into the
news again some ten years after leaving the NFL when it became known that he had suffered a series of heart problems caused by taking steroids whilst in
the NFL. Was originally a 5th round pick of the Steelers in 1977 and started for most of five seasons for them. Died at his home in Pennsylvania in 2005 when
a tree fell on him whilst he was working in his yard.
