Played most of the 1978 season and started two games at tackle in the process. Originally a 3rd round pick of the Steelers in 1966, he wound up with the Lions and started 166 straight games for Detroit before picking up a knee injury in the third game of the 1977 season. Traded to the Bucs for one final NFL season. Hawaiian by birth, he was named after Knute Rockne. Became the chancellor of a community college in Hawaii after leaving football. Passed away in 2022.
