One of the finest players in team history who was inducted into the Bucs' Ring of Honor in 2012. He was the fourth overall pick of the 1988 draft and started every game he appeared in for the Bucs, not even missing a single snap in his first five seasons. Never rewarded for his efforts by a Pro Bowl berth due to the Bucs' lack of success in those early years, he was always highly regarded by his team-mates and peers alike. When finally he looked set for a chance for real post-season glory, he broke his leg in Chicago and was a spectator on the sideline when the Bucs lost to the Rams in the 1999 NFC Championship Game.
