Played the final two games of the three strike games in 1987. Played all three seasons with the Tampa Bay Bandits rushing for over 1,000 yards in the 1984
season and amassing 2,262 in all for Steve Spurrier's squad. Boone also had the first 100-yard game in USFL history and played for Steve Spurrier in college
for the Duke Blue Devils. Had not appeared in the NFL before the strike games and never played in it again afterwards.
