Played six seasons with the Bucs, three as a starting inside linebacker before being traded to the Chiefs. Utilised as a pass rusher more in 1990 and set a career high in sacks with 5.5. Won the NFL's "Hit of the Year" award in 1987 for a crushing tackle on Bears' RB Neal Anderson. Played two more seasons with Kansas City before retiring after the 1993 season. Went by the nickname of “Viper”.
