The 2011 Buccaneer draft review
The Bucs picked alternately 20th and 19th through the draft. They
traded a 2012 4th round pick to Philadelphia to swop picks in the
4th round. They traded a 6th round pick to Philadelphia in 2010 for
WR Reggie Brown. They traded a 5th round pick in 2010 to
Kansas City for DE Alex Magee and gained an additional 6th
round pick in return. The second 7th round pick was a
compensatory selection.
DRAFT ANALYSIS - Adrian Clayborn looked good in the two
seasons where he wasn't injured but Da'Quan Bowers never panned out and Mason Foster
was nothing special in the middle. All bar Daniel Hardy made the roster but without any of the
lower picks truly impressing.

1 - DE - Adrian Clayborn - Iowa
Had two very successful seasons and two injury-curtailed poor ones during his four-year stay with the Buccaneers and was eventually
allowed to leave as a free agent after his rookie contract expired. Was the Bucs' first pick in the 2011 draft and the 20th overall selection of
the 2011 draft. Went on to play several more seasons in the NFL with the Patriots, Falcons and Browns.
2 - DE - Da'Quan Bowers - Clemson
Spent four seasons with the Bucs but never lived up to his draft potential having earlier in his college career been seen as a possible first
overall selection. Had injury issues during his career in Tampa and also served a two-game suspension for PEDs during 2014.
3 - LB - Mason Foster - Washington
Was the Bucs' starting linebacker for four seasons missing games only through injury but was allowed to leave in free agency after the 2014
season. Had two interception return touchdowns in 2013 and had an excellent rookie campaign in 2011 when he called all the defensive
signals.
4 - TE - Luke Stocker - Tennessee
Spent seven seasons with the Bucs as a primary blocking tight end having had over half his career receptions in his first two seasons. Was
released in November 2017 with the development of Antony Auclair and was picked up by Tennessee.
5 - S - Ahmad Black - Florida
Spent two full seasons as a nickel back with occasional starts as an extra safety but was released after four games of the 2013 season. Had
been promoted from the practice squad in the final month of his rookie season and played extensively in 2012 recording two interceptions.
Did not play elsewhere in the NFL after leaving Tampa Bay. Grew up in nearby Lakeland as a fan of the team, his aunt even having once
been a Buccaneers Cheerleader.
6 - RB - Allen Bradford - USC
Played in just one game in the 2011 season before being released. Had been inactive for the first four games having shown only limited
potential during the pre-season. Had a stellar career with the Trojans as a big-play back and touchdown scorer. His only Buccaneer playing
time came in the loss to the 49ers when the game was out of reach in the second half.
7 - DB - Anthony Gaitor - Florida International
Missed the entire 2013 season through injury having only seen action in four games in 2012 having also been on the sideline for months.
Did not make it through the final roster cuts in 2014 and never played in the NFL again. Saw action in eight games as a rookie primarily on
special teams' coverage but then as an extra defensive back during the final month of the season.
7 - TE - Daniel Hardy - Idaho
Did not make the team out of training camp.
