Started every non-strike game during the 1987 season at safety having been acquired on waivers from Cincinnati shortly before the 1987 draft. Started 76 games in six seasons with the Bengals having been an 8th round pick in 1981 and was nicknamed "The Enforcer" for his strong play in the defensive backfield. Recorded a total of ten interceptions and one sack across his seven-year NFL career but retired from the game after leaving Tampa Bay and sadly committed suicide at his home in North Hollywood in February 1988.
