Former USC Trojan who had played for John McKay in college and was drafted by the Bucs in the veteran allocation draft in 1976 but chose to play that season in Canada instead. Recorded 1,622 all-purpose yards for the Toronto Argonauts before returning to Tampa for the 1977 season and ranked second on the team in rushing that year. Was traded to the Oilers the following spring for RB Dan Hardeman who never played a down for the Buccaneers. Also played the ill-fated 1975 World Football League season for the Southern California Sun and briefly in the USFL in 1983 for the Los Angeles Express.
