The Bucs have had a multitude of nationalities handle their kicking from Europe to Africa and then both north and south of America itself. Some have been terrible, some have been high round draft busts but others have become beloved for their role in key moments in franchise history. Punter has not been such a memorable position with only one Buccaneer ever making the Pro Bowl in that regard.KICKER - MARTIN GRAMATICAThe Bucs’ all-time leading points scorer earns the kicker spot on longevity as well as being responsible for some key wins in franchise history. Was a 3rd round pick in 1999 and spent six seasons with the Bucs. Now handles the colour commentary for Spanish radio and has become very involved in local events in the Bay area.PUNTER - JOSH BIDWELLSpent five seasons as the Buccaneers' punter and went to the Pro Bowl after the 2005 season having also been named 2nd team All-Pro. Was injured during the 2009 pre-season and was released the following spring. Did also write what I consider to be the worst book ever penned by a Buc player or about the franchise. Avoid it like a punt taking a bounce at the five-yard line.KICKER - CHASE McLAUGHLINBy far the most accurate kicker in franchise history with only a handul of misses in his Buccaneer career, most being blocks. Broke his own franchise record for most 50+ fieldgoals in a single season. If he had played more than two seasons, he would have probably earned the top spot on this roster but for now, he is a worthy back-up.PUNTER - MARK ROYALSHad two separate stints as the Bucs' punter, originally playing from 1990 to 1991 and then returning to Tampa Bay in 1999 and added another three years to his resume. After retiring from the NFL, he went on to an extensive media career around the Bay areaHONORABLE MENTIONSThe likes of Michael Husted, Donald Igwebuike and Steve Christine all had their key moments with the Buccaneer franchise and won some key games but not enough to dislodge either of the two named above. Dave Green was over-worked as a punter in the first three seasons and also doubled up as kicker in the first season and Irishman Neil O’Donoghue kicked the Bucs into their first playoff berth in 1979.
