The Bucs won their fourth straight season opener and were never really threatened by the Commanders and their rookie QB Jaydon Daniels. Baker Mayfield had four touchdown passes and Chase McLaughlin added three fieldgoals as the offense was only forced to punt once the entire game. The running game alternated between big plays and losses in the backfield but there was enough positivity on offense to keep everyone happy.
