For the third time in their history, the Bucs shutout out an opponent in the final game of the season to clinch a division title repeating the events of 1979 and 2002. This was not pretty and the Panthers cost themselves two touchdowns with mistakes. Baker Mayfield played hurt and led the Bucs to three fieldgoals which was all they needed on the day to make the playoffs for a fourth straight season.
