Tampa Bay Buccaneers 12 Carolina Panthers 9Sunday 27 October 2002 at Ericsson StadiumFOX COMMENTARY CREWDick Stockton, Troy Aikman and Cris Collinsworth
Somehow the Buccaneers did just enough to win this game on the road in Carolina, a game that featured no touchdowns and saw four Martin Gramatica fieldgoals be the difference as the Bucs improved to 6-2 on the season. The defense did its part limiting the Panthers to 20 yards passing offense including -4 during the first half. Randy Fasani was also picked off three times but RB Lamar Smith gave them enough third quarter offense to take a 9-3 lead before Gramatica did his thing. The Bucs played without injured QB Brad Johnson and back-up Rob Johnson was sacked no less than six times.
