Somehow the Buccaneers did just enough to win this game on the road in Carolina, a game that featured no
touchdowns and saw four Martin Gramatica fieldgoals be the difference as the Bucs improved to 6-2 on the season.
The defense did its part limiting the Panthers to 20 yards passing offense including -4 during the first half. Randy
Fasani was also picked off three times but RB Lamar Smith gave them enough third quarter offense to take a 9-3 lead
before Gramatica did his thing. The Bucs played without injured QB Brad Johnson and back-up Rob Johnson was
sacked no less than six times.
