Flowers famously called the Buccaneers “Paper champions”.
Brad Johnson was once again missing through injury and Shaun
King had an appaling game starting in his place throwing three
interceptions including a pick six early in the game that put the
Bucs 14-0 down within four minutes. Rob Johnson replaced King
in the second half but could only throw a late consolation strike to
Keyshawn Johnson after other scoring chances had been
squandered including a pair of fumbles in the redzone. Now the
potental bye-week was out of their hands with the Packers
holding the tie-breaker for the second spot.
