Tampa Bay Buccaneers 10 San Francisco 49ers 24Sunday 22 November 1987 at Tampa StadiumCBS COMMENTARY CREW Tim Ryan and Joe Theismann
Jerry Rice used to own the Bucs when he played for San Francisco. This one was a three-TD game - he had a four-TD game later in his career but this was all the Niners needed to win. The Bucs had an early 10-7 first quarter lead after Ray Isom's interception set up DeBerg's TD strike to James Wilder. But trailing 17-10 entering the fourth period, a Buc fumble set up the final San Francisco TD and a late drive was halted at the 49ers' 3-yard line when DeBerg was intercepted in the endzone.
