After being punished severly for first-half errors, the Bills mounted a furious comeback which only fell short when RB Robb Riddick couldn't hang on to Jim Kelly's 4th down pass from the Tampa 3-yard line. The Bucs had taken advantage of Buffalo fumbles in the first half by scoring 17 of their points after recovering Bills' miscues in their endzone, and on the Buffalo 2- and 31-yard lines. This game was Jim Kelly's first 300-yard passing game in the NFL after coming over to Buffalo from the USFL's Houston Gamblers.
