Tampa Bay Buccaneers 0 Washington Redskins 10 Sunday 9 October at Tampa Stadium CBS COMMENTARY CREW Frank Gleiber and Roy Jefferson
This game was a microcosm of the 1977 season - the defense held the opposition to very few points, but the Tampa Bay offense just couldn't score any. The Bucs were 13 point underdogs against the spread, but for the fourth straight time, managed to cover it. The Bucs offense was helpless. It gained only 136 yards, allowed 10 sacks and for the fourth straight game, it failed to score an offensive touchdown. "People say the offense is bad," McKay said. "Don't tell me. I already know it. I have to stand and watch it." McKay also got into a post-game argument with Redskins’ DT Bill Brundige who had been very vocal about the Buccaneer offensive gameplan.
