Game notes and anecdotes
Injury update
Pro Bowl nose tackle Vita Vea, deemed a game-time decision due to a groin injury, didn't suit up. Former USF standout Deadrin Senat, elevated from the practice squad earlier Thursday, made his 2023 debut in the defensive line rotation and finished with a tackle.

Left tackle Tristan Wirfs suffered what the Amazon Prime broadcast crew reported as a quad contusion on the Bucs' opening possession but remained in the game. The Bucs already were without veteran left guard Matt Feiler (knee), who was replaced by Aaron Stinnie. Veteran running back Chase Edmonds, cleared to return to practice this week after missing more than a month with a knee injury, was activated Wednesday and finished with 5 yards on three carries.

David's triple play
Ageless inside linebacker Lavonte David finished with 14 tackles, his third consecutive game with double-digit tackles. It's the franchise's longest such streak since Kwon Alexander had 10 or more stops in four consecutive contests in 2015.

Audible
"I know we missed him early, and they did a couple of things to take him away early. We've got to have other guys to make plays. I thought we moved the ball well at times when we didn't have the penalties. We've just got to have other guys step up." - Todd Bowles on Evans, targeted only three times in the first three periods
