Michael Clayton
Game-winning touchdown
Raymond James Stadium
15 October 2006

The background
The Bucs had started the season 0-4 and had lost starting quaterback Chris Simms a fortnight earlier to a terrible spleen injury. The offense was in the hands of rookie Bruce Gradkowski and the boo birds were out in force at the lack of offensive performance by Jon Gruden's team. And then into town came the high-scoring Cincinnati Bengals.

The game situation
The Bucs were trailing 13-7 late in the game when they mounted one last drive. Gradkowski completed a pass to maligned WR Michael Clayton who dived into the endzone and fumbled as he hit the ground. The play was originally ruled incomplete.

It went to a video booth review and Clayton was deemed to have crossed the goal-line and kept possession as the ground cannot cause a fumble. The touchdown counted and the Bucs took their first win of the season 14-13.
