The background
The Bucs had made the playoffs the previous year and hopes were high going into the 1998 season. But the completion of Raymond James Stadium meant that the Bucs would play their entire pre-season schedule on the road plus also their first two regular season games in Minnesota and then in Green Bay.

Trying to add to their receiving corps, the Bucs drafted another Gator receiver in the form of Jacquez Green in the 2nd round in 1998 to join fellow alumni Reidel Anthony on the roster. And although Green never really set the world on fire as a receiver, he did make an immediate impact returning punts as a rookie for the 1998 Bucs.

The game situation
The Bucs were trailing 23-0 with just under seven minutes left when Green fielded a punt at his own 5-yard line. He then proceeded to record the longest punt return in franchise history and wound up in the Packer endzone giving Buc fans brief hope of an amazing comeback,
