Michael Pittman's big day
Raymond James Stadium
7 November 2004

The background
The 2004 Bucs were a shadow of the team that had won Super Bowl XXXVII less than two years earlier. Indeed, they had begun the year 0-4 and had lost one of their high-priced veteran free agent signings in Charlie Garner inside the first month.

But with Brian Griese taking over from Brad Johnson and Chris Simms at QB, they had some offense and they still had Michael Pittman in the backfield. And in the Kansas City Chiefs, they had a Week 8 opponent with a pretty dire defense to face too.

This was a wild game with lead changes and big plays throughout the game, none more so than the one that made this countdown.

The game situation
The Bucs were trailing 24-20 early in the second half when Pittman took a pitch from Griese. Following some outstanding blocks (check out the one by FB Jameel Cook), Pittman went 78 yards for the score and the Bucs went on to win.
