#40 weaves his magic
Tampa Stadium
8 September 1991

The background
The 1991 Bucs were coached by Richard Williamson who had taken over from Ray Perkins late in the previous season. Because the players like him (and he was cheap), he got the job for the following season too from Hugh Culverhouse.

The Bucs went 3-13 with a total lack of discipline in the locker room and on the field. Wins and even good performances were sorely lacking throughout the year especially after the first four games of the season, all of which Tampa Bay lost narrowly and could have/.should have won.

But they did have a game breaking back in Gary Anderson albeit a shadow of the one who had torn up the same field for the Tampa Bay Bandits in the 1984 and 1985 seasons.

The game situation
The Bucs were trailing 7-3 in the first quarter when Anderson took a pitch from Testaverde and headed right. The resulting touchdown is still as memorable now as it was then.
