Surprisingly won the kicking job from Donald Igwebuike in 1990 camp and had two very good seasons for the Bucs. Was left unprotected from the Plan B free agency list after the 1991 season when the Bucs thought they had a verbal agreement that he would not leave. Instead he signed for the Bills and promptly spent the rest of the decade kicking successfully for Buffalo instead of Tampa Bay and also played for the Chargers and Giants during his NFL career.
