Played two seasons as a back-up on the defensive line and made three starts in the process. Two of those starts came in the final two games of the 1989 season when Curt Jarvis was hurt. Ranked second on the team that season with 29 quarterback pressures but did not make the 1990 team out of training camp. Both of his sacks as a rookie came in the season finale against the Lions. Was nicknamed "Grizzley" as a youngster and his car license plates carried that moniker too. Died in 2011 in Raleigh, North Carolina.
