What would Vince Lombardi do?
Starting QB out of the game, backup has as much arm strength as a 12 year old male ‘discovering’ themselves (tries hard, but with not much to show for it), and up by 16.
What could possibly go wrong?
Your starting wide receiver having a fit because his best weapon, speed, cannot be utilised. Your starting running back seeing eight in the box ala Carnell Williams post-spleen 2006 (As in when Bruce came in). Your 3rd string QB (and Pro-Baseball Cap Wearer) pissed off because he’s not even considered.
And finally your offense seeing approximately five minutes of play in the 2nd half. What would Vince Lombardi do? Run!
Somehow our boys in Pewter (when I say boys, I clearly mean defense) forced SIX turnovers, including a last minute INT in the endzone by Sir Brian Kelly which killed Jason Campbell’s tremendous attempt at a fightback. What did we learn from our escapades on Sunday?
NFL Watch
Sean Taylor – Rest in Peace.
AJ Feeley, Eagles D? So very close – never before have I wanted the Iggles to win so badly!
Devin Hester: Returning kicks for fun since 06!
How long does it take do decide a federal case? Ask Travis Henry’s attorney!
What the heck happened Thursday night? If this is a rematch in the NFC Title game, provided Favre’s fit, I expect this to be even closer.
Once again, Sean Taylor – RIP.

Jeff Garcia is the man. Our man. The only man!
Earnest Graham actually looks like he will be a fulltime member of our, or someone’s, offense next year.
Alex Smith is our tight end for the future.
Our offensive line is still gelling.
Our defense is quite possibly at 2002 standards, but without the recognition element.
Tanard Jackson is the best draft pick, value wise, in our history.
Greg White is the second coming of Simeon Rice, minus the psychedelic attitude & outfits.
We need Jeff Garcia.
This coming Sunday sees us travel to Louisiana to take on the slightly re-focused New Orleans Saints in the Superdome. Win? We’re in the post-season – barring a collapse. Lose? It’s all to play for with the Aints a game behind.
With Mr Galloway up against the completely incompetent Saints Secondary, with Jason David being your prototypical all or nothing guy – a batted pass or an INT on the one hand, a 99 yard TD on the other. As a result of this, we HAVE to start Luke McCown if Jeff can’t go – this is the one game where we have to choose arm strength over apparent accuracy.
If we go with this method of attack, and our defense maintains it’s current high standing, I think we can eek out a win, to the tune of.. 17-16 with the Saints (as all teams do against us) rallying in the final quarter.
