One of the finest cornerbacks to ever play for the Buccaneers and a deserving Pro Bowl berth rewarded his 2000 season. His play dropped off a level in 2001 and rather than take a $5.2M cap hit for a nickel back, was released in February 2002. Went on to play three more seasons in the NFL with the New York Jets. Originally a third-round pick, he worked his way into the starting line-up by 1997. Was the franchise leader in interceptions when he left the Bucs but has since been surpassed by Ronde Barber.
