The Bucs have only met the Broncos occasionally, but did record one of their best wins ever in Mile High Stadium in 1993. The two sides have only met six times due to inter-conference games being once every three years originally (now four) and even then, the Bucs often had a 5th place schedule and hence missed out on such games against the Broncos as they did in 1984, 1987 and 1990. The 1993 victory under Sam Wyche came at the end of the season and in Denver's own back yard, but was revenged three years later in a Sunday night prime time TV game at the same venue. The most recent meeting, in 2004, was a typical Bucball affair with the Tampa Bay defense doing almost enough to cover for the lack of offense generated and a homecoming for former Buc great John Lynch.
