Obtained from the New York Jets for a 1st round pick in April 2013 and then signed to a multi-million dollar long-term contract. Started every game at left cornerback but was never properly utilised as the best cover corner in the league by the coaching staff making the trade a poor one overall. Was named to the 2013 Pro Bowl team along with Gerald McCoy. Was released in March 2014 in a salary-cap related move and wound up playing with the Jets, Patriots and Chiefs before retiring after the 2017 season. Had been a Pro Bowler four times, a three-time consecutive All-Pro and the 2009 AFC Defensive Player of the Year.
