Played the first five seasons and served as the team's punt returner in the process only calling for seven fair catches in over 200 returns. Scored the first touchdown in Buc history when he returned a fumble for a touchdown against Baltimore in the fourth game. Played some safety and caught three passes on fake punts and fieldgoals. Came to the Bucs on waivers from the Bengals in September 1976 having originally been a 3rd round pick of the Cincinnati organisation in 1975. Set an NFL record in 1979 by returning 70 punts in a single season. Never played in the NFL again after leaving Tampa Bay.
