Made the 1977 team as an undrafted free agent and was a starting linebacker for almost six seasons but became mostly a special teams' player during his final year in 1985. He was the last member of the team that played in the Bucs' first win in franchise history to leave the squad. His 174 tackles in 1981 was the then-highest in franchise history and stood for a decade. His brother Robert was the drummer for KC and the Sunshine Band.
