Profile
Finished his third season as the Bucs' signal-caller and defensive captain by becoming just the third player in franchise history after Broderick Thomas and Hardy Nickerson to record over 200 tackles based on team stats. Won the NFL's Defensive Player of the Month award for September. Missed only the final regular season game in 2007 when many starters were being rested for the playoffs. His father Tom played at Nebraska from 1972-74 and played in the NFL for several seasons and his cousin John Howell was the Bucs fourth-round pick in 2001.
