Tampa Bay Buccaneers 7 Green Bay Packers 21Sunday 4 January 1998 at Lambeau FieldFOX COMMENTARY CREWPat Summerall and John Madden
The Buccaneers trailed by just six points, 13-7, entering the final period but couldn’t pull off the upset in Lambeau Field in a Divisional Playoff game as the Packers held on to a 21-7 win. The Bucs had three scoring chances in the first quarter but failed on a fake fieldgoal, a fumbled snap and then a missed fieldgoal attempt. Missing opportunities like that was fatal in Green Bay and the only Buc score came after a 52-yard pass to Reidel Anthony set up Alstott’s score.
