Tampa Bay Buccaneers 17 Jacksonville Jaguars 16Sunday 19 November 1995 at Tampa StadiumNBC COMMENTARY CREW Dan Hicks and Bob Golic
The Bucs snatched a narrow win over their interstate expansion rivals but only thanks to the gambling nature of coach Tom Coughlin. On the back of TE Pete Mitchell's monster game, the Jags could have tied the scores with 37 seconds left with an extra point, but Coughlin went for an unsuccessful two-point conversion. Jacksonville then recovered the onside kick, but Martin Mayhew's interception finally secured what should have been a much-easier victory than it eventually was.
