The Bucs had enough chances to win this one but came away frustrated. After Sam Wyche had elected to pooch punt instead of trying a 52-yard fieldgoal in the second half, the Bucs had two late chances. A drive that started on the New Orleans' 44-yard line with 3:24 remaining went nowhere, and after Craig Erickson had converted a 4th and 27 to Willie Green, and a 4th and 14 was kept alive by a pass interference call on future Buc Tyrone Legette, Michael Husted missed a 54-yard field goal at time expired.
