Vinny had to leave this game in the second quarter with an ankle injury and the Bucs got flattened in his absence. The shutout was only avoided on the game's final play when Mark Carrier scored on an unexpected long touchdown pass from Joe Ferguson with most of the Lions players heading for the locker room.
