Tampa Bay Buccaneers 14 Miami Dolphins 17 Sunday 30 October 1988 at Tampa StadiumNBC COMMENTARY CREW Charlie Jones and Jimmy Cefalo
Joe Ferguson replaced the "injured" Vinny Testaverde, everyone realising that the Bucs' No.1 pick was being benched for a week following his recent poor games. Ferguson led the Bucs on two fourth quarter TD drives to narrow a 17-0 Dolphin lead, but Tampa could get no closer than the Miami 39-yard line on a final drive. Both Miami TDs were set up by Tampa fumbles inside their own half, one by Lars Tate and the other by William Howard.
