Any hopes of an upset Buccaneer victory went out of the window in the first quarter when James Wilder left the game through injury. In spite of a monster day by Gerald Carter, the Bucs only got on the scoreboard with three minutes left in the game and the result beyond doubt. The Packers took the lead on a Randy Wright to Phillip Epps pass on their second offensive play of the game, and their defense forced six sacks of Steve Young and two interceptions.
