James Wilder went over the 1,000-yard rushing mark for the first time in his career and became only the second Buc back after Ricky Bell to reach such a mark. Incidentally, it was during the only game in the 1984 season in which he did not catch a pass. The Giants were held to just 238 yards of total offense as the Bucs gained revenge for their defeat earlier in the season in the Meadowlands.
