Tampa Bay Buccaneers 33 Houston Oilers 24Sunday 27 November 1983 at Tampa StadiumNBC COMMENTARY CREWunknown
The Repus Bowl! Why Repus? It's Super spelt backwards and this game was so named because both teams were 1-11 and deemed to be as far away from the real thing as possible. The Bucs won it thanks to an offensive performance that led to five touchdowns, the first time in franchise history they had achieved that to that point. Jack Thompson led the way with four scoring passes, although three interceptions set up 21 of the Bucs' points on the day. Future NFL Europe commissioner and son of future Colts QB Andrew, Oliver Luck played QB for the Oilers in this game.
