Tampa Bay Buccaneers 23 Miami Dolphins 17Monday 29 November 1982 at Tampa StadiumABC COMMENTARY CREWFrank Gifford, Don Meredith and Howard Cosell
This was the third Channel 4 broadcast and the one that led to me to start supporting Tampa Bay. The rushing attack led to the first Buc touchdown which came on a 38-yard, seven-play drive that featured no passes at all. The Bucs built a 23-10 lead on Neal Colzie's two interceptions of his former team-mate Don Strock, one of which he returned 51 yards to set up James Wilder's 4th quarter score. The Bucs then had to withstand a comeback that was only denied when Mike Washington made his second and Tampa Bay's fifth interception of the night. Joe Rose's second score came with 34 seconds left and Miami then recovered the onside kick to set up Washington's late heroics.
