The Bucs' first loss in 1979 came at the hands of future Buc head coach Ray Perkins. Giants RB Billy Taylor was the only back to gain over 100 yards against the Bucs in the regular season and even though the Giants had only 18 yards passing in the game, they ran their way to success all game.
