That's how long it took for the surging Houston Texans to impose their will on the Buccaneers during Sunday's 37-9 romp in the sun. Entering the game with the NFL's No. 2 rushing attack and knowing Tampa Bay has struggled against the run, the Texans caught the Bucs defense flat-footed from the start. On the game's initial snap, Matt Schaub faked a handoff, rolled right and found Jacoby Jones open down the right side. Jones cut back, splitting safeties Tanard Jackson and Sean Jones, to complete an 80-yard touchdown before Bucs coach Raheem Morris had time to check his headphones. "Every phase of the game went downhill early on us,'' said Sean Jones, who also was in position to bring down running back Arian Foster on a 78-yard scoring reception in the second quarter. "We feel like we didn't come out and compete – it's embarrassing. They pretty much booted the whole first half and their play action was very effective. Everyone needs to fly around the ball and tackle people. We didn't do that today and the scoreboard showed it.'' Foster, who accounted for 186 yards from scrimmage, turned a routine flip from Schaub into another long touchdown, faking cornerback Aqib Talib and Sean Jones to put Houston ahead 16-0. "We run that play a lot,'' Foster said. "When you get the ball in your hands in this league, you're paid to make people miss and I was just doing my job.'' While the Texans (7-3) take a four-game winning streak into their bye week, the Bucs have dropped three straight since beating the Saints at home. In those three losses, Tampa Bay's first-half defense has been ravaged by Chicago (233 yards), New Orleans (288) and Houston (268). The Bucs have been outscored by a cumulative 47-11 margin before intermission during the three-game tailspin. Talib, who had an apparent first-quarter interception overturned on review, bolted the locker room before the media entered, but second-year defensive tackle Brian Price stuck around to offer some answers. "We're all we've got, this locker room and this coaching staff, and we've got a lot left to fight for,'' Price said. "I thought we had a good game plan, but I guess they had a better one.'' Houston ran for 185 yards while Schaub threw only 15 times, completing 11 and finishing with a passer rating of 154.9. "Give the Texans some credit,'' Bucs cornerback E.J. Biggers said. "They ran their offense to perfection today.''
